Thank you for your interest in our 
organization.  We hope to use this listserv as a 
way to keep our supporters better informed of our activities.

Current Happenings:

Thursday, October 26th - We'll be celebrating the 
dedication of an agricultural conservation 
easement on 65 acres of farmland in Athens-Clarke County.
        This is the first farmland in 
Athens-Clarke County to be part of the Farm and 
Ranch Land Protection Program of USDA's Natural 
Resource Conservation     Service. Athens-Clarke 
County's Greenspace Acquistion Program of SPLOST 
2005 contributed 25% of the funds to purchase the 
easement, and the     landowner, Eugenia 
Langdale, also donated 25% of the value.

Saturday, November 11th, from 1-4 - The Athens 
Land Trust will be having a volunteer workday 
Saturday afternoon to landscape the yard of our 
latest     affordable home at 130 Andrea Drive - 
it's the green house on the corner of Nellie B 
and Andrea Drive.  If you turn left onto Nellie B 
Avenue from      Winterville Road, Andrea Drive 
will be the first street on your left. Come check 
out our environmentally friendly rehab and help beautify the yard.
